Fells Point Development Corporation 2007 Membership Drive is underway! Following on the heels of the highly successful town hall meeting on May 23rd, Fells Point Development Corporation has launched its membership drive. We encourage residents, business owners and property owners to get involved with our efforts to revitalize the historic business district of Fells Point. How can I get involved? Join the FPDC! Become a member and support our economic revitalization efforts in Fells Point. Get involved in one of our committees. The Promotions Committee works on strategically promoting Fells Point as a viable shopping and dining destination through select advertising opportunities as well as organizing quality events such as Privateer Day and Fells Point Olde Tyme Christmas. The events subcommittee is currently hard at work preparing for some exciting and fun filled Halloween and Christmas activities. The Artloop subcommittee is actively engaged in raising awareness of the First Fridays after Five event, we are excited about their recent decision to work more closely with the development corporation. The Design Committee looks at issues such as commercial building improvements through the administration of the Fells Point Development Corporation's Facade Improvement Grant program, neighborhood beautification, and sanitation issues. The Economic Restructuring Committee works to retain and recruit businesses in Fells Point. The Organization Committee works on events such as the membership drive, fundraising, and building strategic partnerships with local associations and government officials. |
